About the fund

Sustainable Development Goals

The Ozen Fund was founded in 2021, but the history of charitable activity begins since 2018, when a group of companies Aqniet Group was formed, founded by Kairat Itemgenov by means of acquisition of several startup companies in the area of retail distribution activity. A team was invited to develop the group of companies which launched startups in both urban and rural areas. The initiative to launch the fund Ozen belongs to the same team, which was founded and currently resides in rural areas.

Why have we started?

Inequality

Social inequality between urban and rural districts where live more than 7.7 million or 41% of the country's population.

Job deficit - 1.2 million people or more than 50% of people working in rural regions are self-employed (the share of self-employed in cities is 16%).

Gap

The number of population in rural districts, who have income below the subsistence rate is 2 times more than in cities.

Inaccessibility

Lack of access to modern technology and internet services.

Deficit

Absence of competitive infrastructure for professionals and youth.

Ideology of the highest order, as well as further development of various forms of activity

The main work of the Fund is development of rural districts of our country, to change the situation on the local level we strive to gain experience and deep understanding of the problems we are concerned about, as well as cultural features of the villagers by means of presence of our team directly in the rural districts. Therefore, we decided to establish the head office of the Fund in the rural district Kutarys. Also, Kutarys is a test platform for launching the programme of the Fund, where the most effective programmes will be introduced to other rural districts. The decision to choose the location of the head office and test platform in the village Kutarys was affected by the fact that one of the initiators of the fund was born and lives in this village. The rural district Kutarys is located 28 km north of the metropolis Shymkent with a population of more than 5000 people, at the junction of Arys and Aksu rivers. In addition to the head office, the Fund has offices in the following cities: Nur-Sultan, Mangilik El Avenue, 52a; Almaty, Abylay Khan Avenue, 55
